Greetings to all! Hi everyone, my name is John and I am new to the list. I'm wondering if there are other blind computer users on this list who are using eloquent strictly using VO to navigate the program? If so, would you be so kind as to contact me and to share with me that's complete list of VO keystrokes to navigate all of eloquent and all of its menus. Also I noticed that 2.4.4 version of eloquent is available on the website. However, when I tried downloading that version, I still get 2.3.5 as being the fully updated version in the Eloquent help menu. Has anyone on the list successfully updated to 2.4.4? Thank you for everything, blessings, John |

Thanks Manfred, I am sad that these big publishers have no concern for the word of God, rather onyl for profits, but grateful for your excellent work. I have been using the ESV simply because that is the nearest to the NKJV. Hi. What you need to do is: - switch to indexed search mode (the segmented button left of the text field in toolbar) - enter a strongs number you want to search for See screenshots. The results are verses in which the strongs' number exist. Regards, Manfred Am 25.10.2012 um 20:28 schrieb Mark Tank <gra...@hu...>: > I can figure out how to search the KJV and strongs. Hello Martijn. That's weird. I get 2249 verse results searching for "H0430" in KJV. Do get any results at all, for example when searching for some other word like "earth"? If not I think the index file for the module is corrupt. To have the index file recreated go to: /<yourlogin>/Library/Application Support/Eloquent/Index and delete the folder "Index-KJV". Now back in Eloquent search again and the index will be recreated. Btw: we've released an update recently to v2.4.4 here: http://www.eloquent-bible-study.eu Regards, Manfred Am 20.09.2012 um 09:28 schrieb H.M. van Egdom <h.m...@me...>: > Oke, thanks for the answer, Still I don't understand the process.. > <Schermafbeelding 2012-09-20 om 09.25.36.png> > As far as I understood I am now in search index mode, but H0430 (which should in Genesis 1) is not found. > > Thanks for the help, Martijn > > Op 17 sep. 2012, om 20:06 heeft Manfred Bergmann het volgende geschreven: > >> Hello. >> >> In index search mode it is possible to search for Strong's numbers. Hello. In index search mode it is possible to search for Strong's numbers. You would search for "G1985" and would get all verses in the search range that contain this Strong's number. However the results don't show which word in the verse is tagged with the Strong's number. You would need to check this in reference mode. If you are a scholar or need extended information about statistics of words in the bible and such. Then you should buy a software like Accordance or Logos. I've bought Accordance myself quite a few years back. Spend quite a bit of money for modules, maps and whatnot. However Eloquent gives me all I need. Manfred Sent from my iPad. Hello, I´m happy to use Macsword, but where the names of the different books are listed, both on the toolbar and in the Bible itself, they are in some oriental letters that I don´t understand. What can be done to correct this? Blessings, Fredrik Skoglund |

Due to resource considerations the simplest thing was to make a cut and only support Lion (and above) with Eloquent 2.4. Thank you for the information. A sensible way forward for me will be to wait until things have settled down a bit after the imminent release of Mountain Lion. Install that and then upgrade Eloquent. I'm grateful for your help and no reply is needed. Barrie. |

I have a couple of questions about saving. I am using Eloquent 2.3.5/2046. 1. Why is Eloquent's File -> Save always greyed out? 2. Suppose I start Eloquent from the dock and want a different session from the one that appears. I click on File -> Open Session ... and am asked if I want to save the session. I don't so I click on No, expecting to get something that allows me to choose a session. However, most of Eloquent simply vanishes from the screen. Since the Eloquent menu bar is present at the top of the screen, again I click on File -> Open Session ... and am asked if I want to save the session. I don't so I click on No. This time a get a window that allows me to choose a session to open. Is there some way to open a session by clicking on File -> Open Session ... once only instead of the twice I currently have to do? Barrie. |
