Dear Jedit Team!

When i use the
<a((?:(?!< a="">).)*)
expression in jedit search and replace window to find html anchor tags with content, it works fine. But when i check the hyper search cbox jedit trows an error. THX for jedit i love it :)

Would you provide more info please? jEdit version, JVM version, OS, etc. I can't reproduce this issue, both regular search and hypersearch work fine for me with your regex.

This is the same as bug 3937 (https://sourceforge.net/p/jedit/bugs/3937/), which is already fixed in 5.3.1. Since 5.3.1 isn't released yet, you can try it by downloading and installing the latest daily build from here: http://www.tellurianring.com/projects/jedit-daily/index.php?dir=jEdit%2F
