ScreenCaster is a Java-based tool for screencasting on Linux. It supports high-performance capturing of screen contents, as well as capturing of both system and microphone audio, suitable for demonstrations or game footage recordings. Additionally, it supports the use of presets for the quick saving and loading of commonly-used configurations to make the recording process as painless as possible.

In addition to webm file output, it also supports live streaming to Justin.tv and Twitch.tv.
