This is official successor of FreeST standalone host. Well what is FreeST ?
This is a linux VST host - hybrid using winelib. Runs as a Jack client for Audio/MIDI, and with GTK GUI. Supports 32 and 64 bit plugins.

Supports load/save state to:
- LASH
- JackSession
- Ladish (L1 and L2)
- SysEx dump
- MIDI Identity request/reply messages support
- FXP/FXB (v1 and v2) files
- FPS (XML files)
- Easy plugins discovering and stroing in XML DB

MIDI CC automating.
Bypass/Resume by MIDI CC (default 122)
Support JackTransport.
Midi channel filter.
Volume control
command line options (tempo, midi channel etc.)
Simple CPU usage display

no, but UI is mostly based on icons :)
