Web Services Interop Profile Environment / News: Recent posts

A new set of activities at CSIRO, Australia, is taking the formalised service profile concept and applying it to Water Resources data access services. Further work is expected to explore it as an underpinning for an eResearch "cyberinfrastructure".

Expected outcomes:
* improved formatting
* formalism for binding constraints to vocabularies held in OASIS ebXML registries
* OASIS ebXML registry persistent layers
* packaging of profile families into separately governed directories

The project now has a TLA for easier reference to it by name.

Both source code and samples are now available for download. Source release is basically a snapshot of work in progress on a 'spike solution'. Samples are the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture profiles.
