To make it easier for the world to find the King James Pure Bible
Search software, I registered the domain name "purebiblesearch.com" and
pointed it to the King James Pure Bible Search Project.

This will make it much easier for you to share the URL with others...

Both "purebiblesearch.com" and "www.purebiblesearch.com" will work.

Finally... The long awaited King James Pure Bible Search Software
Version 1.1 has been released!

Installers for All Three Platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux) are now
available!!!

The installers provided are compatible with the following operating
systems:

  * Windows : Desktop 32-bit and 64-bit : Runs on Windows XP, Windows
    Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8
    (Runs on Windows 2000 if all latest OS and IE Service Packs are
    properly installed -- confirmed on my old Win2000 machine here)
    Will NOT run on Win95, 98, ME, or NT or on Windows RT for Arm
    (See Article: [2]Confusion between Windows 8 and RT)


  * Mac OS X : Intel Processor Systems Only : OS X 10.5 and Higher both
    32-bit and 64-bit
    (PPC systems will not be supported due to Apple dropping all
    compiler support for PPC)


  * Linux : All 32-bit and 64-bit Linux Standard Base (LSB) 4.0+
    Systems Supported
    (For single-click binary installer -- Other systems may run if
    built from source code)
    Requires "lsb" package as installation dependency
    Will also run under "Wine"


  * The new Users Manual is also available in both offline-PDF and
    online-HTML forms!
    (Though fonts and layout may not be perfect when viewing online due
    to your browser's HTML rendering and the available fonts and
    settings on your system)


King James Pure Bible Search will soon be posted on SourceForge for
downloads and source code access...

Changes from Version 1.0 to Version 1.1:

  * Fixed the Ctrl-Plus and Ctrl-Minus shortcut keys for zooming
    Scripture Browser and Details Popup
  * Set the Detail Popup to remember its font size when the user Zooms
    it with Ctrl-Plus and/or Ctrl-Minus (or Control-MouseWheel) so that
    it stays set on future popups.
  * Changed "Copy as Verses" to work with the current Scripture Browser
    cursor position when there is no selection.
  * Moved the User Database (kjvuser.s3db) to the User's Application
    Data folder so that it can be updated and maintained consistently
    on all three platforms. Changed the copy of kjvuser.s3db that ships
    with KJPBS to only be a template for building the initial User
    Database in their home folder.
  * Complete Native Builds and Installers for Linux and Mac!
  * Updated Documentation, porting to LibreOffice and dropped MS Office
    use
  * New graphics and splash screen (Thanks Laura!)
  * Shipping DejaVu fonts and using programmatic font loading on all
    platforms so the look-and-feel is consistent on all three.
  * No longer registering shipped fonts with the Window System. They
    are now loaded programmatically only.
  * Added saving of the application window-control font to preserve
    look-and-feel when relaunching the app.
  * Changed the command-line arguments flag from / to - due to our new
    Linux and Mac platforms.
  * Fixed a bug in the Font dialogs that could cause it to hang on some
    platforms and switched to native font dialogs. Qt seems to still
    have a bug where the Normal/Book/Regular font style doesn't
    properly select
  * Fixed database memory leak issue with the query object. It was
    minor since the database is only used at startup.
