PalmSurv 1.6

New in PalmSurv 1.6: Enhanced GIS data entry: more structured GPS data entry screen. The PalmSurv Converter v. 1.6 can convert PalmSurv 1.6 GIS data into KML format for viewing of PalmSurv villages within Google Earth. Sample word list PDB files have been updated in this release to include GIS data in the newer format. See PalmSurv Converter 1.6 download README for details.

This is the most robust release to date. In the field, please use this PalmSurv version instead of any 1.4.x version.

Search Feature

This is the first released PalmSurv version to allow search of the current word list database by gloss and/or extended gloss prefix. To access the search feature, tap on the Find silkscreen button while you are in the Data Entry, Other Villages, or List View screens. External keyboard entry (arrow and Enter keys) is supported for fast navigation of search results and selection of the desired gloss. Like version 1.4.3.1, this is an Alpha release.

IPA Editing on Other Villages Screen

PalmSurv 1.4.3.1 introduces the ability to edit IPA transcriptions on the Other Villages screen. Note that this is an Alpha release: back up all PalmSurv data or use a Palm OS Simulator when evaluating it.

PalmSurv 1.4.3.0

In this development release we have the first PalmSurv version to use Palm OS Preferences. The last used screen is remembered across program launches. Other retained program aspects include: field font size, row shading color, and default IPA keyboard (Main or Smart).

PalmSurv 1.4.2

The most recent PalmSurv build, v. 1.4.2, is now available for download. This release includes important internal fixes, most of which will not be visible to the user.
One important fix with visible repercussions: the List View had a bug when there were fewer than nine items displayed.
Users of PalmSurv 1.4.1 should upgrade to this version.
