The Mac Latrunculi Team is pleased to announce the release of version 1.15, featuring several bug fixes, as well as new board graphics.
The AI routines have not been significantly modified in this release.
Latrunculi v1.1 for Mac OS X 10.3.9 has been temporarily removed from our files section, as it has been reported that many 10.3.9 users were experiencing crashes when running it. The OS X 10.4 builds are unaffected.
The developers are attempting to look into this issue, and hope to have a 10.3.9 build available again in the future.
The Mac Latrunculi team is pleased to announce the release of version 1.1 of our Cocoa Latrunculi game. This release improves playability by properly threading the AI players calculations.
As with the previous release, this release is available in both G4 and G5 optimized builds, both of which are built as "Universal Binaries" to permit their execution on the new Intel-based Macs.

Latrunculi is an ancient Roman board game, for which the rules have been lost to antiquity. We decided to revive it as part of an AI research project, selecting the set of proposed rules we felt are the most fun to play, and then implemented a strong AI player behind it, completely in Objective-C, using Apple's Cocoa APIs.... read more
Welcome to the Mac Latrunculi Project. Jennifer and I (Brad) are working hard on making this project a reality. At this point much of the GUI mechanics have been implemented, and we'll seen be delving into the AI routines to make this a playable game.
