I should also mention that i am using netbeans 8.02 and version 1.97 of Ftp Site Deployer. I perhaps should also mention that the file HTML created on the remote appears to have no extension, so when i save index.html it saves it as HTML

    hope this helps
    Jon

I have also tried version 1.95 of Ftp Site Deployer and it did just the same! The file is saved as html (lower case) sorry and not HTLM as i mentioned earlier, sorry.
