#14 Cannot Install

I downloaded the wine-1.7.0.DMG file to my Macbook Air Software OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)
When I double click on the downloaded file it throws up a message " Image File not Recognised" And there it ends. Should prompt me to move icon to Application folder.

Have repeated the download 3 more times. Same. Any ideas please?

When I open the DMG, it opens a folder called "Wine Installer" with an "Install Wine" icon that brings up a progress bar and installs the software after opening it. This is with OSX 10.10, although I had installed with an older version of OSX in the past.

The DMG is 496 MB, maybe it's getting interrupted before it completely finishes downloading? I also used Firefox to download.

I am downloading again. I noticed that on previous downloads only about
240mb downloaded. Maybe that's the problem.
Another question. Do u have to adjust Privacy settings to accept all
downloads (rather than apple or approved developers only)? I understand
this can open the mac to malware etc?
