User Reviews

  • This a VERY useful little program and currently using it to write my first Assembly Language game for the Atari. I do have a wish list which I have put into order of importance IMO 1. Allow the user to assign comments to each character. When exported, have the option to allow these comments to be added above the data line. 2. Allow the user to import an exported file. I mistakingly closed the program w/o saving. Since I had previously exported it, I still had the characters I created but was forced to load them into my Atari program and redraw them in Atari FontMaker. 3, Maybe simulate different character font graphics modes in the output areas. The characters I created we a mix of Antic 2 and 4 and it would be nice to see what they both look like together as well as be able to change the "color registers" for that particular line. Thanks for your effort on this.
  • I have a font editor written in Atari BASIC, but it is a pain to run that in the emulator and disturb testing of the other code I'm writing in assembly in eclipse. So, I was either going to spend the next six months writing my own Atari font editor for Linux, or find someone who did it for me. Fortunately, I found this. A good editor with the decent set of tools and bitmap manipulations. It supports ANTIC Mode 2 monochrome, and modes 4 and 5 color displays. So far it has been working solidly. (running the linux binary on openSuse Tumbleweed).
