bWAPP, or a buggy web application, is a free and open source deliberately insecure web application. bWAPP helps security enthusiasts, developers and students to discover and to prevent web vulnerabilities. bWAPP prepares one to conduct successful penetration testing and ethical hacking projects. What makes bWAPP so unique? Well, it has over 100 web bugs! It covers all major known web vulnerabilities, including all risks from the OWASP Top 10 project. The focus is not just on one specific issue... bWAPP is covering a wide range of vulnerabilities! bWAPP is a PHP application that uses a MySQL database. It can be hosted on Linux/Windows with Apache/IIS and MySQL. It is supported on WAMP or XAMPP. Another possibility is to download bee-box, a custom VM pre-installed with bWAPP. iperf was developed by NLANR/DAST as a modern alternative for measuring maximum TCP and UDP bandwidth performance. Iperf allows the tuning of various parameters and UDP characteristics. Iperf reports bandwidth, delay jitter, and datagram loss. iperf version 2 (in this repository) is no longer maintained by its original developers. Current ESnet development efforts are focused on version 3 of iperf (otherwise known as iperf3), which is available at: https://github.com/esnet/iperf http://software.es.net/iperf Meanwhile, a third party has taken up development and maintenance of iperf2. xrdp
An open source RDP server
xrdp provides a graphical login to remote machines using RDP (Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol). xrdp accepts connections from a variety of RDP clients: FreeRDP, rdesktop, NeutrinoRDP and Microsoft Remote Desktop Client (for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android). As Windows-to-Windows Remote Desktop can, xrdp supports not only graphics remoting but also two-way clipboard transfer (text, bitmap, file), audio redirection, drive redirection (mount local client drives on a remote machine). Connect to a Linux desktop using RDP from anywhere (requires xorgxrdp Xorg module). Reconnect to an existing session. Session resizing (both on-connect and on-the-fly). RDP/VNC proxy (connect to another RDP/VNC server via xrdp). xrdp primarily targets GNU/Linux operating system. x86 (including x86-64) and ARM processors are most mature architecture to run xrdp on. Most Linux distributions should distribute the latest release of xrdp in their repository. -

chromeos-apk
Run Android Apps in Chrome OS OR Chrome in OS X, Linux and Windows
Make sure Android applications are compatible with your Chromebook, first try to install an official application. Download an official app, such as Evernote, from the Chrome Web Store. Then download an open source game, like 2048.APK Game by Uberspot and load it as an unpacked extension. Go to chrome://apps and launch it there, ignore warnings. Install a sample Android app from the Chrome Store to get the runtime. Test out that app, make sure it runs on your hardware. Ubuntu might need sudo apt-get install lib32stdc++6. Install Node.js and install the tool (might need a sudo prefix). With Chrome 38+ you can now side load as many applications as you want. If you have older apps that were created using chromeos-apk tool then re-convert them or remove the "key" option from manifest.json. -

This is especially handy if you work with different distributions: You do not always need to think about where you need to set up applications that run at boot time on the respective systems, and you can also tell Stacer to lock an application for the next start as a test, without having to plumb the depths of the Control Panel. This is where you can remove unnecessary log or cache files and empty the trash can on your system. In the initial state, Stacer does not provide any data for trash disposal; you first need to enable the desired categories and then launch a system scan. -

Brotli
Brotli compression format
Version 1.0.9 contains a fix to "integer overflow" problem. This happens when "one-shot" decoding API is used (or input chunk for streaming API is not limited), input size (chunk size) is larger than 2GiB, and input contains uncompressed blocks. After the overflow happens, memcpy is invoked with a gigantic num value, that will likely cause the crash. Brotli is a generic-purpose lossless compression algorithm that compresses data using a combination of a modern variant of the LZ77 algorithm, Huffman coding and 2nd order context modeling, with a compression ratio comparable to the best currently available general-purpose compression methods. It is similar in speed with deflate but offers more dense compression. The specification of the Brotli Compressed Data Format is defined in RFC 7932. Brotli is open-sourced under the MIT License. You can download and install brotli using the vcpkg dependency manager. -

On the web side, Ruffle is embedded into pages or installed as a browser extension; in the desktop version, it can open .swf files directly or embed them in applications. Because it’s built with memory safety in mind, Ruffle helps avoid many of the security vulnerabilities that plagued classic Flash (buffer overflows, use-after-free, etc.). It strives to support multiple versions of ActionScript (1, 2 and parts of 3) and a wide swath of the Flash API so as much content as possible works unchanged. -
