LAME is an educational tool to be used for learning about MP3 encoding. The goal of the LAME project is to improve the psycho acoustics, quality and speed of MP3 encoding. Note: we provide source code only!

ASAP (Another Slight Atari Player) plays and converts 8-bit Atari music (*.sap, *.cmc, *.mpt, *.rmt, *.tmc, ...) on modern computers and mobile devices.

IDTE is a full-featured tag editor for Windows that supports tagging of FLAC, APE, ID3v1.x/2.x, WMA, Lyrics, and Vorbis metadata in audio files. It also includes a powerful audio player with support for 40+ lossy and lossless formats, including FLAC, ALAC, OGG, APE, MP3, and more. Project ZeroSlackr is a custom iPodLinux installation system. The aim of the project is to provide a simple, coherent, easy-to-use and newbie friendly method of installing iPodLinux on iPods and trying out various emulators, apps, tools and and content.

A small and very simple player to synchronize the playback of media (yet only music) on several computers using a similarly lightweight server. Server and client both use the Qt toolkit and the client uses Phonon for playback.

The mpf70 project aims to provide both a Linux kernel module and a userspace program to interface the Mpman MP-F70 portable MP3 player.

The goal of the CarOS project is to design and implement the software and hardware systems necessary to provide a mobile computing platform in a vehicle. The CarOS will be Linux based.

MegaBox is a Appliance Application for a SetTop box to make an MP3 stereo component which can pull mp3s from a file share.

The goal of this project is to develop an open-source implementation of the management application (and drivers if necessary) for Creative NOMAD MP3 player (the first, parallel port model).
