FreeImage is a library project for developers who would like to support popular graphics image formats (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP and others). Some highlights are: extremely simple in use, not limited to the local PC (unique FreeImageIO) and Plugin driven!

Fonts and font metrics customarily distributed with Ghostscript. Currently includes the 35 standard PostScript fonts and a grab-bag of others.

FreeImagePy is a FreeImage library python wrapper. It export the FreeImage library functions, so a python developer can simple use it into python programs. It need a compiled FreeImage library and ctypes for work.

Provides ability for cross-platform reading, exporting and rendering of CMV (Corel MOVE!(tm) 5.0) files. Includes Windows player with ability for playing of CMV animation and extracting embedded resources.

Transparency is a small tool for transparent PNG processing on the command line. It provides conversion of white to transparency, and the preparation of transparent PNGs for perfect GIF export (i.e., "partial" application of the alpha channel).

Please see: https://www.ghostscript.com JBIG2 is a compression format for lossless and lossy encoding of scanned monochrome documents at moderately high resolution. It is very efficient in that domain, claiming 100:1 compression. jbig2dec is a decoder-only implementation of the format.

The littleutils include duplicate file finders (repeats, repeats.pl, repeats.py), image optimizers (opt-jpg, opt-png, opt-gif, recomp-jpg), file rename tools (lowercase, uppercase, pren), archive recompressors (to-gzip, to-bzip2, to-bzip3, to-7zip, to-lzma, to-lzip, to-xz), a tempfile utility (tempname), file property tools (filedate, filemode, filenode, fileown, filesize, and lrealpath), and others. TiffIO is a plugin to enable TIFF images from any Qt app. The plugin is a wrapper to libtiff 3.9.4 : It enables any Qt3 or Qt4 based application to load and save any QImage to and from most TIFF formats combinations supported by libtiff.

VCD Commander aims to produce (S)VCD image (and video) disks with minimal user intervention. Simply arrange the files into directories - VCD Commander will recurse the subdirectories and build menu structures to reflect this.
