For a long time motif has been the de-facto standard widget set in the professional world. This had one major issue, and that being that the source of motif was not free. We, the Hungry Programmers implemented a replacement called lesstif under a free license to provide a way to use free programs written for the motif widgetset. In 2012, the motif source has been relicensed to LGPL, making the lesstif source redundant and obsolete, as its goal has been achieved, a free motif. As lesstif is practically unmaintained and has serious bugs in the copy/paste realm, I advice to use the Motif source instead of this source. LessTif is a free (LGPL) clone of Motif (also known as OSF/Motif). It is a set of widgets for developing graphical user interfaces. Motif is the most widespread such widget set, supported by most commercial UNIX vendors. LessTif is a free alternative.

UUMATE is a respin of Ubuntu Mate (https://ubuntu-mate.org/) The main goal of this project is simple: Just have an updated Ubuntu Mate 64bit ready to install, with full multimedia support, compiz, many extra applications and some cosmetic changes. Many PPAs/Repos already available. Event sounds (minimize, maximize, close, etc...) enabled by default you can enable/disable compiz using "mate-tweak"! No need to download hundred megabytes after installation! Note: To burn the ISO to a USB stick, use "dd" command. In MS Windows use Rufus. This ISO is helpful for people trying to install linux for the first time or coming from windows environment. It has plenty of software pre installed (some are trial/shareware) with full internet and multimedia support. Very useful as live media as well. Wcd is another Norton Change Directory (NCD) clone. Wcd is a command-line program to change directory fast. It includes a full screen interactive directory tree browser with speed search and a fast way to choose between multiple matches.

It imports mealmaster & mastercook files, as well as providing tools to help users import from text files or webpages. Gourmet can exports webpages & other formats. Gourmet has a plugin infrastructure allowing users to choose add-ins they want, such as a plugin to calculate nutritional information. Gourmet also includes an interactive python shell plugin which is a great way for new developers to get started playing around. Gourmet is now built on Python, SqlObject, and GTK tools. Among the plugins is an experimental web front-end which shows the way forward to other possible future front-ends.
