The mysqlbackups project on sf.net is defunct but the name is taken. I'm posting code under this name instead (mysqlarchives) but the code is called mysqlbackups. This set of scripts automates mysqldump, log rotation, and snapshots with quiesce when data is hosted on a nimble storage array. The rpm build process is still calling a script that is not public yet. I'll update that later. -

...I made this because it was easier for me to create a whole new Perl script than to improve upon his bash goodness. Right now you can expect it to save databases (via mysqldump or mysql with a custom query) and upload them using FTP (via a Perl module). For compression management or auto-pruning of old backups you'll have to come back later. -

mysqlfilter is based on mysqldump add --sets and --rule parameters to filter sensitive words. The --sets parameter usually to filter few of fields in some table, likely where parameter to filter some conditions.
