...Its purpose is not general machine translation, but a specialized text generation task in which the model produces a matching second line for a given first line in the style of traditional couplets. A chaque fois que l’élève va s’approcher d’un cube, la lumière d’éclairage de la scène va changer. Le but est donc d’étudier la couleur des objets en fonction de leur éclairage en tirant parti d’un moteur physique de jeu vidéo.

If I were to write it today, it would be completely different. As you can see in my GPE documentation, I no longer use the friend keyword quite so liberally (In fact, haven't used it once in GPE).
