Thank you Frans, I will contact you directly and hope to report back to this discussion! Best greetings Tom

Dear Frans, Is there a real time version of MTF mapper that does not require loading files but accepts a WDM or V4L source, or any other real time video signal capture? We are (finally) in the process of internally shimming a series of water corrected underwater optics we developed with Zeiss, and would like to speed up the process which is pretty tedious working on a file by file base... Feel free to reach out off list if appropriate! Many thanks! Tom Kwasnitschka GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean...

Thank you Frans, in the meantime I did a similar test and the target detection failed - but I guess its my fault since I had obstructed some of the targets. Frans, do you explain at some point what the actual rules to construct the lensgrid chart are? I dont understand when to use "sectorial", when slanted rectangles, why and how the angles of the slanted once vary (with distance from the center?) and wether there is a ratio of both, or their distribution across the page... The problem with simply...

Thanks so much Frans! After a few experiments I guess I will leave the targets in place, and only make sure there is a dense cover of rectangles across our screen. From what I see, A0 is the largest chart that the software generates? I will also have other stuff on the chart and mask that out if I find I have to. I assume that a 10% checkeboard background will mess up the results? Thanks agan! Tom

Hi, I am just starting fresh with the software. I need to create a test chart larger than A0, rather 1.5x3.6m. It is for tank tests of an underwater camera system, thus I am not free to adjust the object distance etc. Should I scale the lensgrid a0 chart? Shoud I scale only the rectangles and not the coded targets? Or can someone help me out with a customized chart? Thanks! Tom
