Per the wiki page: http://www.xtrkcad.org/Wikka/CMakeBuild The mercurial .hg files are available on the sourceforge download pages for each xtrkcad version. For example: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xtrkcad-fork/files/XTrackCad/Version%204.3.0/ so I make the folder where the source code is supposed to be downloaded to (xtrkcad-4.2.3b), cd into that folder, and then enter "hg unbundle ../xtrkcad-4.2.3b.hg". Works great for 4.2.3b, but when I tried to do it for 4.3.0 I got the error "unknown bundle...
Unfortunately I don't think I can. I tried pulling the latest source per Dwyane's comment on the mailing list, and found that it now requires cmake 3.0, but without compiling cmake from source the latest version I have available is 2.8.11. I'll be attempting to upgrade my OS on my work machine in 2-3 weeks, but I can't risk the down time until then.
4.3.0 uses all available memory
