Hi, I have a friend who created a VC vault, where he opens a single file in Windows with VC, and can then either enter the real password to access his hidden files, or a dummy password which loads a decoy set of files. Unfortunately his computer has crashed and is no longer boot-able. From the recovery environment we can see most of his windows files, but his fault file appears to be 0 bytes. Is there a way to recover his data? He's not sure if he created it as a hidden volume or one with an inner...
I agree 100%. I can't believe there's no signature/hash/checksum posted. I've checked the files subfolder and there's nothing. This is major software, and there's no way to validate it. Btw, there's another site that provides a download with a hash, but the file is actually modified, so who knows what junk they've loaded into it. We really need a clear and reliable way to verify your downloads!
