giflib 6.1.1: Missing symbol

I've made a patch file. di now links cleanly. I'll push this to MacPorts. I can always remove the patch when it is no longer needed.

Yes, we do! Thank you for your efforts! IIRC I was using it long before I added the MacPorts Portfile. I don't remember if I was using it under mkLinux, or if I first built it MacOS X (using my own cobbled together build system) after finding out about di.

Yes, now destroot has the share/locale folders

I'm not seeing anythong different in the build output after adding set -x No sign of any locales in destroot. Only the default man pages.

Unfortunatly, no. He's using a very old version of macOS: 10.6.x on an PPC. The only way I can test on older systems is to push an update to GitHub, and let the MacPorts build bots do their thing.
