    Okay, so the rand file is generated when you create a random batch (which I never do so there was no such file in my installation). The fact that that file doesn't exist shouldn't stop anything since it will generate a new one. It may be that there is some sort of permissions problem preventing the program from writing the file, though I can't think why that might happen. Similarly a permissions problem could prevent the program from reading the files in the plugins folder. Perhaps you could try...

    I don't think it uses anything extremely modern so it probably works on pretty much any Windows, maybe as far back as XP. I'd guess it would probably work fairly well under WINE on Linux too but I've never had cause to try.

    I sometimes get those when opening a flame so perhaps it's because it's trying to load the last flame you worked on? If you can handle it, there's a registry key that specifies that filename so you could try clearing that. The key is 'HKEY_USERS\YOU\Software\Apophysis AV\Defaults\LastOpenFile' but the 'YOU' will be a load of gibberish numbers and letters so I can't tell you exactly what it will be. You can find it by searching for "Apophysis AV" repeatedly in the Registry Editor. A reinstall might...

    AFAIK there isn't a help file for AV yet. The one from 7x is probably about 80% relevant though, so I copied that to the AV folder and renamed it "Apophysis AV.chm".
