This appears to be a file permission issue. I take it that you have manually edited the image to remove your user name? Please can you use Windows File Explorer to have a look at the folder specified in the error window. You have not mentioned any problems in configuring the Wallpaper Changer, so this folder should have files like DmtSettings.xml and DmtWallpaperProviders.xml amongst others. Does this folder have a DmtWallpaper.jpg file? If it does, then if it has the "Read-only" attribute, then...

Sorry, I don't quite follow what the problem is. One thing to be aware of is that user-defined areas include the border around the window, but this would make the window appear smaller, so I guess it is not the problem you are having. Note: You can also use "System Defined Areas" to split your screen into a left and right half using the numeric pad 4 and 6 keys together with a selected modifer key.
