Hello @lorenzosu, Pipewire intercepts calls to JACK and ALSA, both audio and MIDI. This means that you can plug programs which use ALSA MIDI into programs which use JACK MIDI without any issues - if you are using Pipewire, everything will show up in Qjackctl regardless of which library the programs use. For this reason, programs do not need to be rewritten in order to use the Pipewire API - they work as they are! Thanks to Pipewire, this is not much of an issue anymore. #497 however would help tackle this same issue from a different angle, making Rosegarden easier to integrate with other programs like Ardour.

NSM Support

Seconding this, so it would be much easier to interface Rosegarden to other programs. For example, Ardour could be used as an LV2 host and thus for a while, #462 could be gotten around. (This can already be done but you either have to use JACK in ALSA mode and lose JACK Transport support or use a2jmidid, which has its own inconveniences)
