I would more than love to see the working folder used for the temporary file used for drag-drop or open operations, I'm not sure I understand what the issue is preventing this since you'd expect it would be a very minor code adjustment. There are many reasons for desiring it, either due to large files or to ensure the file leaves no debris trace on shutdown.
Additional ideas: * The entry boxes should have Alt- shortcuts to focus onto them, currently none are indicated, but it would be common (I'm sure I'm not alone!) to want to change the search and re-search just via the keyboard!
F2 to rename file (entire path) or F2 rename (just name) with shift-F2 move (entire path) - include under File Operations
Option to mark a file as done (so it stays in list unlike 'Remove from list') - slightly more generally, ability to put a colour mark against a file or selection (red, green, blue or a few more, and none) - e.g. right-clicking a selection should offer a few colours and ability to remove the colour; colour marks remembered across searches until program closed
