Thank you for that suggestion. I did not know about using AppleScript. I just tried to reinstall an old version of Skim. However, it behaves exactly like the latest one. The change must have been caused by an update of the operating system (Monterey 12.7.6). Thanks again and have a great weekend. Right now I have 'automatically resize' turned on, which is most convenient. When I first open a PDF, it looks too small on a big screen. Therefore, I drag the bottom right corner of the window to increase magnification. When I close and reopen the same PDF it looks small again. Could Skim remember the last magnification used in each document?
