Hi, Sure I'd be glad to help. The COM setting expects a free COM port which you'd connect a device which would be pushing data to the PC. I don't have much experience with Arduino's. Is the Arduino able to send data over a COM port to a different application? I use PuTTY terminal to open telnet and COM ports for testing.

Try this http://wiki.tcl.tk/1013 Mac is not much different from Linux. Download the "code" version and launch the .tcl file using the Tcl/Tk interpreter. Let me know if it works. I can post Linux and Mac instructions if it does.
