Let me clarify the second bullet point. I mostly use 5 resolutions: 4000x3000 (A), 3840x2160 (B), 2048x1536 (C), 1920x1080 (D), and 1600x1200 (E). Everything else is very rarely needed. Sometimes people want to take a photo of some paper document on their table. In these cases, for good results, it is critical that the camera is as horizontal as possible.
