The bridge swaps between BCH (mainchain) and smartBCH (a BCH sidechain that mimics Ethereum Virtual Machine). Make sure you have Metamask or a similar wallet set up with smartBCH already (click "connect to smartBCH network" if it's not set up yet). Send coins over 0.01 BCH to one of the addresses / QR codes displayed. Make sure you do not send over the "Pool Balance" amount. Using Cashaddr is encouraged. For amounts less than 1 BCH, the bridge waits less than 1 minute for a doublespend proof confirmation. For amounts between 1 BCH and 50 BCH, the bridge waits for 1 confirmation. For amounts over 50 BCH, the bridge waits for 2 confirmations.

Hop is a scalable rollup-to-rollup general token bridge. It allows users to send tokens from one rollup or sidechain to another almost immediately without having to wait for the networks challenge period. It works by involving market makers (referred to as Bonder) who front the liquidity at the destination chain in exchange for a small fee.
