"Excellent software for bespoke design and manufacture" Posted 2026-01-14
Pros: The ability to change almost any component part of a cabinet, and to be able to draw parts, worktops etc.
The fact that once a design is complete, it is pretty much workshop-ready, no need to create separate working drawings.Cons: The ability to create or customize existing doors myself would be really nice, for example decide the height and quantity of horizontal rails on doors with more than one panel.
A few more keyboard shortcuts and a customizable tool palette/menu would be a very welcome addition.Overall: I have been using this software for about 6-7 years and having done extensive research into various software options, Autokitchen won when it came to our needs as bespoke manufacturers. I am now able to design kitchens and use the software without thinking about how the software works, I can just get on with designing.

Pros: I have used Auto Kitchen for many years, and its extensive library of doors and finishes has enabled me to design all the necessary cabinet configurations and details to convey my concepts effectively.
Auto Kitchen generates drawings that professionally showcase my designs. Its high-quality line work and photo-realistic rendering capabilities truly bring my presentations to life.
This software has been my primary tool for a long time. Throughout its various upgrades, I have learned that adapting to new technology often involves a learning curve for me.
However, this process has ultimately sharpened my skill set and improved my efficiency.
I recommend Auto Kitchen software for the industry and will continue to do so.Cons: It would be ideal if more cabinet manufacturer pricing catalogs were affiliated with AutoKitchen.
Overall: AutoKitchen has been a well-rounded design tool for me to visually display kitchen and bath and most cabinet concepts for almost 20 years.

"Autokitchen is the best kitchen design solution in the industry" Posted 2025-06-11
Pros: CAD based catalogs allow for user friendly modifications to preform semi-custom and custom cabinet design.
The introductory low level rendering quality is superior, allowing for quick design presentations.
The learning curve is short with professional tutorials and customer support.
There's an impressive offering of current products and finish selections for countertops, panels, accessories, appliances, and equipment to support detailed and current design presentations.
The ability to import architects drawings for dimensioning walls is a game changer for accuracy.Cons: I'd like the ability to export drawings to architects and designers, allowing them to import our designs into their CAD drawings.
Overall: As a designer of kitchens and cabinet areas since 1984, I was one of the first to design using well known kitchen specific software programs in the US.

Pros: autokitchen can produce visually appealing output with enough effort, the time investment required far outweighs the benefits.
Cons: After revisiting autokitchen with high hopes, I must admit my disappointment with the software. Despite purchasing autokitchen v8 years ago and updating to v9, I found it to be cumbersome and lacking in user-friendliness. As a dedicated user of AutoCAD Lite, which serves as my go-to for design work, I expected autokitchen v25 to have improved significantly over the years. Unfortunately, my experience with the software has been frustrating, especially for those who do not dedicate extensive hours to mastering its idiosyncrasies.
One major issue I encountered was what I can only describe as "sales-splaining," where sales representatives overlook the software's inherent complexities and shortcomings. In my opinion, good software should be intuitive and not require constant workarounds to function properly. While autokitchen can produce visually appealing output with enough effort, the time investment required far outweighs the benefits.Overall: In hindsight, considering the time and money spent on autokitchen v25, I regret my decision to invest in it. If efficiency and quality are paramount, I would recommend outsourcing CAD work or exploring alternative software solutions like SketchUp for 3D modeling. Despite its potential, autokitchen falls short in delivering a seamless user experience and tangible returns on investment.

"Garbage" Edited 2025-12-26
Pros: The support guys are helpful, and that is all I can say about the product, from my point it as very few qualities.
Cons: Its on screen visuals, dark and poor. Very poor to use in a 1 to 1 customer situation. Its very limited catalogue. You constantly have to adapt catalogue models or download BIM models which is frustrating and time consuming. It is a counter intuitive programme. And not easy by any means, not a patch on Winner design.
Plagiarised from another review, very well put:

Abysmal.
