    "Appalling treatment of loyal customers "

    Pros: The software is good, and has been reasonably looked after by Magix. I certainly prefer it to Photoshop.

    Cons: Xara are pushing users towards various cloud and subscription options.

    Overall: Having purchased Designer from Magix, now neither Xara or Magix will support it. I have used Xara since virtually the first version. I have upgraded multiple times but I am not going to re-purchase because of the convoluted corporate changes. I am a software developer and look after my customers for life when they purchase. This sort of behaviour of cutting off customers from support for a perpetual licence is unacceptable. I have been offered a discount but frankly Xara have alienated me and I will probably go elsewhere. I suggest others do the same.

    "Xara is fantastic"

    Pros: Xara Designer Pro+ is blazingly fast. It makes the other vector editors feel like turtles.
    They are constantly improving their product.
    It is easy to use. It will make you look great. :-)

    Cons: It could be cheaper.
    I don't use the cloud connection, so I'd rather not pay for it.
    But overall, I love it.

    Overall: Xara Designer Pro+ is a fantastic app that links to the cloud (if you want) or can be standalone. It is blazingly fast. Xara makes the other alternatives feel like turtles. Note that this product is sold directly from Xara. Be aware that there are slightly different versions sold by Magix, but they are not updated regularly. Buy from Xara! They are constantly improving their product.
