Pros: Nothing to like here.

Cons: I paid $.95 to convert one document. It didn’t work well. Didn’t mind too much losing $.95. But, you are automatically subscribed to their monthly service at a fee of $39.95 and if you don’t notice that within 7 days to cancel you are billed the fee. They billed me $39.95 for January and February. They did refund January but refused February. I didn’t use the service at all in February and they still refused to refund me. They make their money deceptively by you not noticing the automatic subscription which should be illegal!

Overall: Terrible! And you are forced to answer pre-selected questions in this review about how long and often you used this product. My answer would be 10 minutes and one time instead of less than 6 months or weekly.

Pros: I have tried to translate a pdf for 0.95 euros, the service doesn't work, and like scammers they billed me for 39.95 euros even though i don't use their services again, and you cannot cancel the subscription on the bank card because you can not see the subscription in bank account. i don t receive the invoice for 39.95 euros

Overall: Bad It is clear that it is a practice of the company you represent, for the 39.90 euros I did not receive any invoice by email, so there is clearly no reason to charge me the 39.9 euros, a month later you charged me again, show me the invoice for which I was charged when and how I received it? You probably do not fully declare your company's income, it remains to be seen what you declare and what you do with the money collected.

Pros: NOTHING - does not even merit a One Star [but cannot upload review with giving one star]. The service is definitely a scam as evidenced by many users who were misled.

Cons: Fraudulent charges: after subscribing a 'one time fee' by 0,95€, they charged again every month 39,95€.
After trying to cancel the subscription, they replied that could not return the unauthorised charges and offered a 2-years free subscription. I had to cancel the credit card and reported it to the police

Overall: I used this website (Thebestpdf.com) as an online PDF editing service. They initially charged me $1.95, but a few days later I discovered an additional unauthorized charge of $39.95. When I contacted them, they acted as if nothing was wrong, and PayPal has also taken no action. I’m not sure how this business is allowed to operate.

Pros: Nothing, these are common criminal law fraudsters and credit card platforms should remove their right to work with them.

Cons: To convert a small text to a PDF, they asked for a one-time fee of 0.95 euros via card to complete the process. After 3 days, I found out afterwards that they had charged my card 39.95 euros, which I unfortunately found out after 5 months.

Unfortunately, I had the same treatment with a company that provides information on vehicle history, (based in Villeurbanne, France), who asked for a small fee for vehicle information and then charged 29.95 euros every month....!! However, this company, as soon as I discovered the scam, not only stopped the....subscription..., but also returned what they had received. TheBestPDF, brazenly refuses to refund the money. I would suggest that those of us who are victims...Together, we appeal against them.

Pros: Nothing. For my $0.99 trial that I didn't know was a trial, it didn't even convert the one file I needed to convert. Useless.

Cons: Where to start? If I could give them no stars I would. For a company that claims to be transparent, they are basically thieves. To add insult to injury, the product is rubbish, and didn't convert my file anyway.
False promises that are designed to suck you in and make you part with your money without you even knowing you've signed up to anything.
Hidden extra costs which the company cannot explain with anything other than vague descriptions like 'optional extras you signed up for' when queried.
Ludicrously high monthly rate for a product which is likely not in much demand for most people and didn't do what it advertised anyway.
At best, deliberately pulling wool over people's eyes until they've got your money. At worst, this is basically theft.

Overall: This company claims it is transparent, but this is not the case at all. I wanted to convert one image into a PDF and thought their $0.99 to do so was reasonable, so I signed up for one use.

Nowhere on their site does it tell you that you are entering into a free trial which will need to be cancelled within 7 days unless you want to pay a monthly subscription. 7 days later I am charged £39.95 and have no clue what for. I query it, and they 'reassure' me that they have cancelled the subscription I didn't know I had and there will be no further charges. They refuse to refund me, despite me cancelling in the 7-day period, and they said I needed to cancel 24 hrs before the period was up. Where was any of this information at the point that I paid? Nowhere to be seen.

Unfortunately, like many people, I bought this one-off through PayPal. They closed my case and now I'm unable to appeal it. If not fraudulent, this business is incredibly underhand. Who would pay that much to convert files anyway? I can't imagine many people have enough files to convert to justify such an extortionately high monthly rate and it's obvious that they know this.

I plan to bombard them with emails on the daily until I get a satisfactory resolution. He who shouts loudest and all that... But, in the meantime, I will be filling the internet with these reviews to try and help some other poor sod landing in the same boat.

Absolutely ludicrous that they are allowed to get away with this sort of practice. They even have automated emails which tell you how much they understand things are often not very transparent which is incredibly patronising. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Cons: I fell for the subscription scam. To add insult to injury I set it up for a pdf to png conversion and it gave me a pdf to pdf non-conversion, after charging the $0.95 and of course the scam $39.95 7 days later. If anybody figures out a way to get the 39.95 back, please post it here. Thanks.

I’ve reported this to PayPal, who have already canceled the fraudulent subscription, flagged the company, and are now actively investigating them for fraud. PayPal has confirmed with me that they are considering banning this business from their platform entirely.

Once that investigation is finalized, I will be back to confirm publicly that PayPal has blacklisted them.

Pros: It created the pdf I wanted. In theory it could be a good reputable company except for the hidden conditions of using the free trial.

Cons: I paid for a one of conversion not knowing that there are conditions for this which are that if you don't notify them not to charge you for a further subscription then you will get a shock when they take funds from your account.
This is hidden and not obvious to see. Should be a warning that if you continue, that you agree to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the so called cooling off period.

Cons: Even when you make sure not to activate the free trial -because that would lead to a paid membership- they automatically activate it for you anyway. That is their business model, to scam you while pretending to be decent people. Don't use it, don't use the 'pay 95 cents only' offer for a single pdf! It will cost you 40 or 50 euro.
