TerraScan, developed by Terrasolid, is a specialized software solution for managing and processing various types of point clouds, including those from airborne, mobile, UAV, and terrestrial laser scanning. It offers robust import and project structuring tools to handle extensive datasets from laser scanning campaigns, along with corresponding trajectory information. The software features automatic, semi-automatic, and manual classification routines, enabling efficient filtering and categorization of point clouds. Users can generate 3D vector models of buildings up to Level of Detail 2 (LOD2) across large areas, vectorize power lines, conduct corridor analyses to identify potential hazards and assess road surface conditions, including the detection of paint lines and curbstones. TerraScan supports multiple import and export formats, such as LAS, LAZ, TerraScan Binary, and user-defined ASCII formats, ensuring compatibility with various data sources.
