TerraPro

Pros: CemeteryPro has been a lifesaver for the Mt. Washington Cemetery! I have been a volunteer trustee and caretaker of the formerly abandoned Mt. Washington Cemetery since 1987, a couple of years after a small group of residents created the non-profit Mt. Washington Cemetery Association to raise funds for the care of the cemetery.

When I began volunteering at the cemetery, all prior records were in books handwritten by the sextons dating back to when the cemetery opened in 1855. With well over 6000 burials, it was extremely time-consuming and inefficient to go through the books to find information on any of the burials.

That all changed when we began using the CemeteryPro software. Now, all of our records are conveniently located in the handy and reliable CemeteryPro database. I am not particularly tech-savvy, but I have found CemeteryPro very easy and intuitive to use. Each burial record is prepoplulated with boxes that act as prompts for critical information that we want to keep for each person buried in the cemetery (first and last names of decedent, lot number, dates of birth and death, birthplace, spouse’s name, last known address, parents’ names, cause of death, the name and address of the funeral home that handled the burial, veteran records, a photograph of the headstone, headstone text, Find-a-Grave reference number, etc.) It is so easy to add documents such as death certificates, newspaper articles, obituaries, and any other records that we deem to be of historical value.

With CemeteryPro, our records are easily accessible and searchable. Furthermore, all of our burial records are tied to a CemeteryPro map of the cemetery that is immensely helpful for those looking to find graves in the Mt. Washington Cemetery.

Cons: I do not have any cons to report. The software and David Haldeman's support have been phenomenal.

Overall: David’s support has been invaluable in learning how to maximize the benefits of CemeteryPro. David is consistently dependable, professional and a pleasure to work with. He is readily available and more than willing to answer any questions I have. I recommend CemeteryPro and David Haldeman unconditionally.

Pros: Honestly my favorite thing about TerraPro is that David is available to help me if I ever need help. The ease of moving around and learning is my favorite part.

Cons: Sometimes when you are on the cloud, you get kicked off and have to log back in.

Overall: We love TerraPro. From the start of installing it on our computer until now. David has always been available to fix the problem or to help us with what we didn't know how to do.

Pros: Cloud availability; Ease of use; Customizable; Tech support is quickly available; Affordable; No nickel and diming you for everything you need.

Cons: None because if I've ever had any issues, tech support is quickly available to resolve them.

Overall: I have been using TerraPro for years and always recommend it to firms looking for, or looking to upgrade their funeral software. It's affordable, easy to use and integrated with our state's electronic death registry. Because of this, data can be exported into TerraPro, thereby eliminating the need to double enter information. I do all the funeral paperwork (I am an owner, funeral director and manage the office duties) and if I ever have issues, tech support is available within minutes! (My old software was days to weeks) With a minimum amount of training, you can customize forms and reports or you can pay (again affordable prices) to have tech create the forms/reports for you. Although I resisted for awhile, I'm so happy to have switched from the desktop to the cloud version of TerraPro because I can literally work from anywhere I have an internet connection without having to remote connect to a desktop. We've actually added a second user license to allow additional access in case I'm on TerraPro and it's needed to check account balances or print out documents. It's an all-around good program, fits our needs and I have no intentions of changing to anything else.

Pros: Easy access from anywhere to get the information you need quickly. Thorough so every detail you can think of is in one place.

Cons: Quite a few dialogue boxes to exit out of too often.

Overall: Pleased with TerraPro's ability to have everything we need for arrangements in a single location with just a fee clicks of a button. Thorough and easy to access.
