Pros: Excellent customer service and very easy to get hold of knowledgeable members of staff when required. Surpass staff make the effort to make their customers feel valued and listened to.
Cons: Custom development within the core platform can be slow and expensive, however they do their best to understand customer requirements prior to development.
Overall: We've worked with Surpass and their software for over 15 years, so they must be a good outfit to retain customers for this length of time. We've used the software to deliver over 100,000 high stakes examinations alongside formative assessments, in both English and Welsh.

Pros: The Surpass Platform is easy to use and has a good range of item types to deliver digital assessments. It is reliable and we deliver over 100,000 assessments each year successfully through the platform across a range of different device types and browsers. They regularly develop and deliver new features and improvements to the platform. The customer support is excellent and they are a really good company to work with.
Cons: The functionality within the Surpass Platform does not always meet our requirements. Some item types and tools are difficult to use and not always optimally designed. Management of data in the platform can be challenging.
Overall: We have been a customer of Surpass Assessment for over 20 years and have a great working relationship with them. Despite some challenges over the years with the various iterations of the platform the fact we have been with Surpass Assessment for such a long time says a lot. They provide a very usable and reliable digital assessment platform and are a supportive and friendly company to work with.

Pros: Can be adapted in many ways, multiple uses, user friendly, can be customised to the individual business.
Cons: Long lead in time for changes, with much expense.
Overall: Surpass has always been a good system to use, and we adapt and flex it to work for us as a business, where we can.
