"Capturing anything from desktop with ease" Posted 2024-01-04
Pros: Its main feature is its very simple to use, Anything you need to cut & save from screen its just a snip away with this software. Also the various screenshot options from full screen to free cut gives great versatility for different capture needs.
Cons: It only contains basic annotations for captured edits, if it could have those advanced options also then it will seem perfect.
Overall: My overall experience says that Snip & Sketch proves to be a handy & Straightforward tool for capturing & annotating screenshots from screen.

"Not as good as Snipping Tool" Posted 2023-07-11
Pros: Comes with less security vulnerabilities as Snipping Tool. Other than that there is absolutely nothing to recommend this except that it comes bundled with Windows.
Cons: Awful design and less intuitive than the Snipping Tool it replaces.
Overall: Use an alternative product if you cannot live with Snipping Tool - otherwise use Snipping Tool instead and don't bother with this.

"Freezes computer, have to do a hard reset." Posted 2023-03-06
Pros: Very easy to use with intuitive controls. Simple, but very useful. Nothing that you don't need in a screenshot and editing tool.
Cons: Freezes my computer and causes me to hard reset, losing any work that was unsaved.
Overall: Great except it's not useable. Microsoft has known about this issues since mid-2021. Why has it not been fixed in 2023?

"Buggy?" Edited 2022-02-05
Pros: Seems intuitive and easy to use. Has a ruler and protractor (but they do seem buggy). Liked the ability to save and clip and paste easily the annotated images.
Cons: Could not, despite internet research, remove the overlaid ruler (or protractor) from the screenshot file, nor could I erase just one drawn object created by using those two tools. I uninstalled and reinstalled. No other suggestions found. Feb 2022.
Overall: Less than optimal. Led me to reach alternatives such as ScreenRec and Greenshot etc. Shame that Microsoft did not create a full tools menu.
