About Session
Session is an end-to-end encrypted messenger that minimizes sensitive metadata, designed and built for people who want absolute privacy and freedom from any form of surveillance. Session accounts are completely anonymous. No phone number or email required. Session doesn’t collect data, so there’s nothing to leak. Send messages through our onion routing network and leave no trace. Session’s code has nothing to hide. Anyone can view, audit, and contribute. With no central point of failure, it’s harder to shut Session down. Talk to your friends or talk to the world. You decide. Closed groups let you talk to up to 20 friends at once, with the same encrypted protection as one-on-one chats. Got a bigger crowd? Use an open group to connect with as many people as you want. Sometimes, a text just isn’t enough. Voice messages let you send something a little more personal, so nothing gets lost in translation.

"Session is Innovative and The future" Posted 2023-04-02
Pros: I found session 2 years ago when it was just put out and was in love, no sign up or logs, top notch encryption and u can dump and create new accounts as quick and easy as pushing a button. Session is the future.
Cons: It was buggy, but they were working on it. I also noticed something, called sentinel? A file that someone was trying to send me, in the past I've ran into it and believe it's a form of spyware, probably just the person I was chatting with, but idk...
Overall: Love it. Wickr, you were my love but you sold out, now you're no more encrypted or private than Facebook.

"An Australian company" Posted 2022-09-15
Pros: The range of features and the actual current demonstrated capabilities and omissions are grand. Open source is critically important and their protocol is based upon tried and true protocols from safe developers.
It's a shame you can't trust their situation as an entity - as all of this can become irrelevant immediately in the blink of an eye under a number of plausible - likely, even - scenarios. This weakness must be addressed.Cons: You won't find privacy from apps developed in Australia or by Australians. Period. This is very suspicious and what is secure today may be very quickly made insecure and revelatory retrospectively in one quick patch. Do not trust any company at the mercy of Australian lawmakers. Because even they have no say over the matter if push comes to shove.
Overall: This app needs a history of no incident going back 5-10 years before it should be relied upon for high stakes security needs.

"True anonymous messaging app" Posted 2022-04-06
Pros: Free and open source.
End-to-end encrypted messenger.
Decentralized.
Doesn't require phone number or email.
No meta data tracking.Cons: Not really a con of the app but Session is not really popular.
Overall: Session is truly the anonymous messaging app which doesn't require email id or phone number to add contacts. It works on a session Id to connect and communicate with the other person.

"Why session is best" Posted 2021-11-01
Pros: Decentralized.
E2e encrypted.
No email or number required.
P2p v.soon.
Faster than tor.
Easy interface.Cons: Design is not so cool as compare to signal or others.
Overall: Session will get 100 out of 100. Only the down side is its design it look very old class. And does not fill good while using. But it is not matter of censor for many.
