"DO NOT USE LUNCHBOX!!" Posted 2024-10-01
Pros: Nothing. This company was painful to work with. The setup was incredibly difficult and the system had constant issues when we launched, which hurt our business.
Cons: This company is a disaster. Getting online ordering setup was extremely time consuming and unnecessarily complicated. Nothing worked out the gate so we spent months constantly triaging issues with that Lunchbox couldn't understand. It created chaos in our store and cost us a significant amount of business.
The sales people assured us that everything we asked about was live but it turned out a lot of it was actually still in the development. 18 months later, all of those things are still "on the backlog" with no delivery timeline. These are very basic functionalities like saving favorite orders including modifications.
Everyone we dealt with was inept. The original team were all fired and replaced with a new team that was at least responsive. That team has since quit or been fired.
We are now trying to leave so that we can have an online ordering platform that works and the company is threatening to charge us $6k to leave early.Overall: I have had a horrible experience. Their platform is terrible and caused us nothing but headaches and lost business. They are now holding me hostage and won’t let me leave.

"Worst Mobile App for Businesses " Posted 2024-08-14
Pros: The designs look nice, but if you want functionality seek another company. Working with Lunchbox for almost 2 years with our business mobile app was like buying a new car with a busted engine. Nothing worked the way they sold it to us. It was all aesthetic without core focus on functionality.
Cons: High staff turnover.
Delays in getting technically issues resolved.
Features not available that were sold or offered during onboarding.
Features of the mobile app not working.
They lock you into an “auto renewing” contract even if you are dissatisfied with their poor functioning product.
Poor Staff customer service.Overall: Terrible experience, for the past 2 years we have experienced nothing but hassle, frustration, and a poorly executed mobile app product that we were forced into auto renewing. This company does not seek to help businesses grow, it actually has done the opposite for us. It has caused loss of customer satisfaction and trust in our loyalty program, and internal staff frustration that is constantly troubleshooting daily issues with their app. Please do your research and seek out other more established mobile app technology companies like we wish we would have. This company does not seem to care about business growth and that has been clearly evident by the way they conduct business, and seem to be more focused on taking your money versus providing a product that functions well, and the cherry on top they have poor customer service.

"Broken system" Posted 2022-01-29
Pros: None. The system simply doesn't work, so even if there were any pros to it, I can't make myself aware of them.
Cons: The login system will not allow registering two accounts with the same phone number. It also does not allow logging in via phone number, despite not requiring an email address. Any customer who makes an account using only a phone number will never be able to log back in, or use the system at all.
Overall: It's a broken system that simply doesn't function the way it's designed to function. Any software which requires accounts, yet locks clients out of those accounts through no fault of the client should be scrapped and rebuilt from scratch.
