Pros: I love that the Lumio software is built into our SMART panels for presenting and teaching, but can also be accessed through the web for editing and creation. Lumio offers ways to prepare lessons in advance or to engage students "on the fly" in the teachable moments we cannot prepare for!
Cons: Lumio is still in the early stages of development, so there are some missing features such as the reports center and more ease of creating from scratch.
Overall: I love Lumio and the many ways it offers to engage learners (kids and adults alike!!). I use it often for PD sessions with adult learners and in classrooms when I am coaching/coteaching. My favorite component is the ability to have students follow along in the lesson on their device and be able to push on "individual digital handouts" at any point in the time during the lesson!

Pros: There is so much to access via the Lumio board alone, from interactive games, whiteboards, lessons and other activities, to easy external application when connecting external devices such as laptops.
Cons: Some boards can become extremely glitchy, especially in the morning and laggy to use, but once it’s started it’s great, this is one of the older versions 2023 not the latest 2024 board
Overall: Easy to navigate and use, a great interactive learning source for schools, would love one of these boards for my autistic children at home, an all in one whiteboard.

Pros: We love the easy of creation and the engagement of students in the platform. It is applicable to all classrooms at all levels
Cons: We do not have any concerns or problems with Lumio, they are responsive and receptive to feedback.
Overall: We have been with SMART for many years and Lumio since it started. The company continues to build and improve in ways that support teaching.

Pros: Interactive activities, capability with all displays (interactive and not), sharing features, company's responsiveness to user input, ease of login for teachers and students, collaborative Lumio communities (Facebook and Ambassador Program)
Cons: limits on some interactive activities (ex. word counts, question types), inability to launch sessions (ex. work done with first class saves unless erased before second class)
Overall: Lumio offers an engaging platform filled with interactive activities that captivate students and enhance their learning experience. The opportunities for collaboration during lessons empower students to work together in real-time, fostering a dynamic classroom environment. Additionally, the ongoing support from Lumio staff ensures that educators have the resources and assistance they need to maximize the platform's potential.
