About Gimkit
Meet Gimkit, the live learning game show your students will beg to play. With constant updates, new modes and powerups, the game your students play today may not be what your students play tomorrow. Students answer questions on their own device at their own pace. Throughout a Kit, each student will get exposure to the questions multiple times to ensure mastery. Students can reinvest their money by purchasing upgrades & powerups. With millions of combinations, students can make purchases that suit their strengths. All the work students do, most of it is only ever seen by one other person. Ink gives students the tools to create meaningful work and share it with others. Students create posts inside Ink, and they share those with not just you, but each other. By publishing work, it creates a place where students can learn from their peers.

Pros: I love that Gimkit offers a wide variety of team and individual games that help students learn while having fun. I also like that I can stop the game at any point, even if I had a specific time. We use Gimkit daily; for instance, to introduce new vocabulary, as homework, as a quiz grade, as a review before a physical test, as a reward, and for substitute days, among other uses. If we just have some minutes available at the end of a class, I challenge the students to survive those minutes playing The Floor is Lava. Also, it is very easy to create new Gimkit sets and to incorporate Gimkit into Google Classroom assignments.
Cons: For my Spanish class, I wish there was an option to turn all directions and comments to Spanish. (I can help you with this, Josh.)
Overall: Superb! My students love Gimkit!! I use about five different options for gaming in the classroom, and students always ask me for and want to go back to Gimkit. I think the screen looks friendly and more professional too. One of the companies I used this year covers the entire screen for some of the games, and this many times annoys students because they cannot see the question, or the answers to play their game.

I also want to share that the first year I used Gimkit (2018-2019 school year), I was so impressed with the different games and their impact on the learning of my students, that I included it for my national certification video, commenting on how the children had advanced in my classroom because of their interactions playing the games, Gimkit's positive effect on our learning environment, and so on. I earned my national certification in 2019! I don't know Josh but, as a teacher, I feel so happy for his success! I feel as if we are all part of the Gimkit family!
