The SBC can be deployed on nearly any x86 hardware in multiple cloud environments, such as OpenStack, VMware, and Ericsson NFVI. It is also verified on Ericsson software-defined infrastructure (SDI) and can be delivered as part of industrialized solutions. Ericsson’s SBC architecture utilizes centralized control, with the media plane being handled in traffic hotspots, to enable low media latency and transmission savings.
