"Increased price 250% with no consent or new agreement" Posted 2025-02-26
Pros: Their initial lifetime offer was good for $99/month but they only honored it for a few years...not a lifetime.
Cons: Employer.com acquired Bench.co and increased my monthly price from $99/month to $349/month with no notice or agreement from me. They refused a refund, stating that they can increase the price whenever they want. They even told me they didn't start work yet but won't refund 2 months of increased pricing.
Overall: Awful. Employer.com is new and there's tons of bad reviews on Trustpilot and reddit already. Documents are hard to upload, work is slow, my 2023 books weren't correct and CPA had to fix, it's overpriced. Quickbooks has an accountant for $50/month instead.
