Deta Surf is a browser that aims to put us, the user, back in the middle of our digital lives. Here's more of the context behind it. We think the web browser pulled the personnel out of the computer. It scattered our stuff all over the web. We spend our time context-switching between remote institutions that hold it, feeling underpowered and overwhelmed. Surf is modern, in the sense that you can plug your context directly into AI, to get the most out of it. But its design was largely inspired by much older ideas.

surf is a simple web browser based on WebKit2/GTK+. It is able to display websites and follow links. It supports the XEmbed protocol which makes it possible to embed it in another application.
