Pros: In a nutshell, it has the potential to be excellent. If the owner would listen to his customers instead of arguing with them about how his program works according to "correct accounting procedures." Quick example, I asked for a particular part of inventory to be modified. "Oh no! That cant be done". Two years later while exploring after an update, there it is. Oh, they don't tell you what has been updated when you get updates.
Cons: Too many features that are not fully functional or too complicated to use. Reluctance of owner to modify or simplify program parts to fit our needs. Too many different windows to complete tasks. Poor task listing organization within each module. No training documentation (written or online) to figure out how things work. In person training offered at a cost. Each module seems to have been written independently, and then forced to work with the others. It's like a struggle sometimes.
Overall: On initial evaluation, the owner (who demo'ed the program) always said the program could do it, when asked if the program could do specific tasks. The correct question I should have asked, is will the program do it (specific task) out of the box once installed without modification. Why did we stay with this program so long? Because it was already purchased and installed. The company owner did not want go through another program installation process.
