    "For PCI DSS Discovery, this software is unbeatable."

    Pros: We came across Card Recon after our security assessor recommended it to us. We thought we had cleaned up everything. This software showed us things that were missed from our scans years ago. Very through. Simple to use. Good reports. Wish I knew about it earlier.

    Cons: Nothing. It did as i required and helped us achieve PCI compliance.

    Overall: PCI is something that's plagued our org for years and we tried scanning for credit card numbers using a variety of different approaches including our own scripts and with Data Loss Prevention tools including Digital Guardian, Symantec (Vontu) and more recently a trial of BigID.
    I understand why our consultant told us there's nothing better on the market. It works better than anything else we've used previously.

    Pros: No installation. I run it off usb.
    Accurate results.
    No reported impact to client systems.
    I like the reporting.

    Cons: Only focussed on PCI compliance. For other requirements I have to use their other product.

    Overall: Consistent and reliable. I stopped using my own scripts a long time ago as this saves time and money and my clients get value from it. I don't use anything else.
