"1 star – Restrictions added after purchase + missing features" Posted 2025-08-25
Pros: The concept of an all-in-one GDPR and cookie consent management tool is good. The interface is fairly straightforward to set up initially.
Cons: After purchasing, restrictions were added retroactively requiring an “Agency licence” for domains, even though my original AppSumo deal terms did not include this. Some of my own domains were wrongly classified as “third-party” without evidence.
A key feature advertised — weekly cookie scans — has never worked. Support confirmed this is not available. I’ve had to request manual rescans multiple times and now manually check my sites to see if cookies are even detected properly. This adds unnecessary work and leaves me unsure if my sites are truly GDPR compliant.
Support stopped responding after I provided proof of domain ownership and raised the issue of missing features.Overall: CYTRIO retroactively changed terms, failed to deliver advertised features, misclassified domains, and left support issues unresolved. In its current form, I cannot recommend it.
