Buildertrend

Pros: Handles pretty much all aspects of managing construction jobs - crew time clock, schedules, customer interface, estimates, sub-contractor mgmt, etc. etc. etc. Many features we don't even use. They are constantly improving the product, and the customer support is excellent.

Cons: There are some inconsistencies between screens and there have been issues with some text entry screens not being sure data is saved before closing, although they are improving this.

Overall: It has been a great tool for us to manage the crew's time on jobs and communication with the customer for initial contact, proposal, updated estimates, invoicing, job progress and completion. BuilderTrend seems to truly appreciate their customers/users and they take our input for continuous product improvements.

Overall: In my opinion, Buildertrend is a top-notch project management software that has made managing my projects a breeze. Pros: This is the most intuitive CRM I've ever used I've used multiple CRMs In the last 15 years and this one surpassed all previous CRMs in the past love Buildertrend!

Cons: Nothing at this time to complain about they have made this awesome compared to when I first used it.

Overall: Excellent! Best CRM on the planet! Love the Todo feature! I love the scheduling I use this on a daily basis I love doing reporting on this CRM!

Pros: The idea that everything is all in one place from Lead to Estimate to Invoicing for the customer and Bids to POs to payments for the Subs.

Cons: The payment system for paying subcontractors. Printing the checks I would send to the subs did not work and banks would not honor them.

Overall: Over the years have become more and more comfortable and knowledgeable about the product. We are using almost all aspects of the program now.

Pros: The support team at Buildertrend is exceptional. Our dedicated support team for our system of forty franchise locations and growing is fantastic. They are always willing to work with us to problem solve and have timely responses every time. Buildertrend listens to client feedback and makes enhancements and updates to the system based on that feedback.

Cons: The lack of having an open API has been a downside to our working with Buildertrend. Being able to integrate with our CRM system would be a significant advantage to our franchise owners and also help to justify the cost of their Buildertrend subscription.

Overall: Buildertrend is a robust system that is user friendly and includes excellent customer support. We value that they enhance the system based on customer feedback. An open API would be a game changer for our business.

Pros: I like that Buildertrend can replace DocuSign and QuickBooks for sending estimates and getting contracts signed.

Cons: I do not like that Buildertrend cannot replace DocuSign for sending and signing change orders.

I will not use Buildertrend to send change orders until change order viewing and signing functions the same as proposals.

I am not going to have a 10 minute phone call walking each customer through how to make a Buildertrend account and use the Buildertrend portal. It is ridiculous.

Overall: Overall Buildertrend has saved me time as phases can roll easily into the next. Estimates convert into Jobs nicely and the template functions are great.

I could save more time being able to do everything through Buildertrend though, so I look forward to an update to change orders.

Pros: What I like about Buildertrend is that it is far less "complicated" than other systems. Not to say that Buildertrend doesn't cover all the bases, but it is much more user-friendly than other systems we have used.

Cons: One downside is that Buildertrend is not able to link with our accounting software. Other programs we have used do have this ability, but it is not so straightforward and easy as they make it sound. If it doesn't work so well, perhaps not having the connection is better after all.

Overall: Overall I have enjoyed using Buildertrend. We are simple in our needs- Daily Logs, Change Orders, emails to clients, not too much going on that we need a larger and more complicated system.

Pros: Buildertrend makes tracking our jobs internally, with our clients, and with our trade partners much easier. We love that our project managers and trade partners have easy access to all jobs from their phones in the field to their computers in the office.

Cons: An easier way to incorporate with marketing so we don't have to use a separate email marketing and CMS.

Overall: This is a great product that we need to work on using to it's full potential which we're working on!

Pros: This software simplifies our Construction Management Process with easy to use tools and interfaces such as Activity Calender and Lead Reports. We use these tools to stay in touch with our customers to keep them in the loop about our products and projects. It helps us keep track of daily logs, project photos, and client material selections. We the multiperson collaboration, we are all able to stay up to date with the progress as a team.

Cons: We have found that the tax setup for the system was a little off when we first started. Nothing That couldn't be fixed and adjusted.

Overall: Overall, really like this software for our larger projects ind installations. Definitely helps us stay on top of the tasks we need to complete, and manage our customers more effectively with the tools and feature of this software. The software helps us as an organization stay more up to date on where we are at and where we need to be with the option of assigning tasks. Highly recommend giving this a try!
