Overall: Budgyt helped immensely in the annual budget process. It provides instant consolidation of numerous department and project/grant level financials. User security setup is easy, and number of users included for the base price is an advantage over competitors. Drill-down features and ability to attach notes and external support files round out a strong feature set.

Pros: Budgyt shines in environments with numerous departments. If your organization has multiple distinct groups that need to contribute to a centralized budget, the software’s ability to invite various teams and provide cumulative oversight is a significant advantage.

Cons: Although Budgyt's functionality is excellent, storing too many scenarios in your profile can slow down the system as it continuously updates them. To maximize speed and efficiency, it’s important to regularly maintain and manage your scenarios.

Overall: We selected Budgyt over other options because it is exceptionally easy to use, perfectly meeting all our budget management needs. Its user-friendly interface, robust functionality, and cost efficiency enabled seamless multi-department integration. Budgyt delivered the performance and financial insights we required at a fraction of the cost, ensuring maximum value.

Pros: We liked the ability to compare multiple departments and years with little trouble. It also has multiple reporting features depending on what you need.

Cons: Importing information could be easier that it currently is.

Overall: I am thoroughly happy with Budgyt. We anticipate it is going to meet our needs for years to come and.

Pros: Permissions granularity, allowing me to give the right access to the right people. The ability to summarize some GL categories so that only totals can be viewed by department heads.
Great employee / contractor cost functionality across multiple countries and currencies.

Cons: Some minor quirks in how to set things up, but always received great support.

Overall: Great. Budgyt has made management reporting, budgeting and forecasting so much easier and it takes so much less time than before.

Pros: Budgyt has been a game changer for our organization. After one budget season went up in flames with a large Excel spreadsheet error, we needed something different. We reviewed the market for budgeting systems and fairly quickly selected Budgyt. Of key value to us was a seamless and quick interface with Quick Books Online, which Budgyt features. With our Budgyt implementation we can effectively ‘layer’ our budgeting process. In our case this allows for independent budgets based on geographical location that can then be consolidated for a full organization roll-up. Layers could also easily be product lines or large departments. The user interface for Budgyt is streamlined and easy to use, particularly for non-technically oriented employees. Timeframes and included roll-up layers can be easily selected or removed.

Cons: Limited suite of available financial system integrations.
Some learning curve for implementation team.
Does not easily handle fund accounting reporting.

Overall: During our implementation we had some key questions that were handled rapidly and clearly by the Budgyt implementation team, as well as a large and continually evolving online learning system. Selecting and implementing Budgyt has proven to be one of the best financial decisions our organization has ever made.

Pros: Ease of use, the features are excellent and the support team is amazing. The customer service team are very helpful.

Cons: Sometimes the system can be slow depending on the size of your database. With proper management, this can handle.

Overall: My overall experience is good with the product. During implantation, James was very attentive to the needs of the organization.

Overall: The employee module and the formulas modules are excellent. The customer service is also exceptional.

No more department-level spreadsheets because your budgeting software only supports 2 or 3 sub-tiers. You can easily fit every nit-picky detail into Budgyt!

Cons: After years of using Budgyt, I still struggle with using the built-in equation builders. They are highly customizable, which is great, but they don't always seem to follow traditional math logic. I've resorted to running the few calculations I need to do externally and linking a spreadsheet to a Budgyt line item, which works fine for me and is a small price to pay for the level of detailed planning Budgyt facilitates.

Overall: Budgyt is our sole budgeting and forecast tool due to the significant level of detail it allows for. Budgyt is a fantastic data cruncher and is highly customizable. However, with customization comes a steep learning curve. There are a large number of options, settings, and other items that take time to locate and learn. Budgyt is easy to use once you learn it, but that initial learning curve is steep!

Overall: I will recommend Budgyt to any organization especially if they are still small. it easy use and track financial reports and statements.

Pros: Once you understand the scenarios and reporting tools it works really well for high and granular analysis.

Cons: Speed - it would be nice if it updated faster.

Overall: Excellent experience wont go back to Excel.

Pros: Employee and Payroll module in Budgyt has all the capabilities to plan accurately for payroll and employer expenses in multiple states and with a wide variety of employee benefits formula capabilities.

Customer support is super capable and fast - if you ever need anything beyond their excellent training video library, which almost always covers my questions.

Cons: Sometimes keeping up with the way the platform is improved can be a challenge - but the benefit of the improvements outweigh any time spent getting used to the changes over time.

Overall: We've now been using this over 5 years. Budgyt is always improving, always getting faster and better with more features. We liked the capabilities in the beginning and we have always been expertly supported when we have questions.

Pros: Feature rich. The cloud-based user-friendly interface integrates easily, streamlines implementation and training, and makes for easy input and tracking of expenses, shows detail of prior years, while the reporting tools provide valuable insights into my financial situation. The ability to customize and create forecasts is instrumental in helping us stay on track with financial goals.

Cons: Nothing at this time. My team has begun using the software without any complaints.

Overall: We've been using Budgyt for the past two plus years, and it has completely transformed the way we manage our budgeting process. As a mid-sized organisation, managing our budgeting process used to be a time-consuming task. However, Budgyt has streamlined everything, making it efficient and straightforward.The interface is quite intuitive and user-friendly.

The customer support team has been exceptional, guiding us through the initial setup and providing ongoing assistance whenever we need it. They’ve truly made the transition to Budgyt platform smooth and hassle-free. I recommend this platform to any organisation looking to uplift their budgeting and planning capabilities.

Pros: Love Budgyt’s business model which enabled use to try it out with our data and most of the setup without paying up front. Budgyt is so much better than my bulky multi company, multi department Excel spreadsheet.
Great that we can upload detailed actual GL data for users to see. Awesome that we easily see prior year monthly actuals, and budget on the data sheet for a gut check. The formulas and excel linking files work like a charm. Implementation was very smooth and haven't needed to contact customer support yet. You can tell this product was designed by a CFO, and is easy enough to use by a non-financial manager!

Cons: Can't restrict access to Payroll module by department.

Overall: Overall it is awesome! Having been using it for almost a year and create monthly re-forecasts using combination of prior months actuals and future months forecast.

Pros: The ability to splice income statements into various formats, quarterly, monthly, annually with ease, in addition to combining entities and/or departments. I mostly enjoy viewing a number of entities in a single report with each entity as its own column. It was challenging to do this format efficiently prior to having the Budgyt software.

Compiling presentation materials for senior executives is a breeze compared to the manual processes I experienced previously to appease various format requests of attendees.

Cons: I'd like to remove the % option from reports fully, and have more tailorable options for %'s added into reports.

More descriptive processes for FOA and C2C (formula) in the Budgyt program. It's not an intuitive process and the language itself can be confusing.

Overall: We love this software in our organization. We have read-only users who rave about it. But it has most drastically improved the lives of the financial accountants.

Pros: User friendly, great support staff, fast scenario building, and comprehensive FS package available! We purchased in September and are already in and almost complete with our first budget season.

Cons: Creating new users can be a pain - but you only have to do that at set up or occasionally.

Overall: We are new users but are really happy with our purchase so far. Looking forward to our first full year of seeings its benefits.

Pros: I like that the software is very user friendly with navigation and setup. The Budgyt team works hard from the very beginning of their relationship with a potential customer to ensure the ease of using the software. The one-on-one trainings and recordings are the best! The training is recorded and provided in an online library to refer back to as much as needed, which has helped me tremendously as I work in a fast-paced environment.

Cons: The only con would be my slowness of importing data into my accounting software, however with lots of monthly practice I have overcame the process and gotten quicker at imports.

Overall: My overall experience is that the software has been a great investment as our organization was using a large, complicated excel spreadsheet. Budgyt software has been a big-time saver even while learning its capabilities during my first year! The team is wonderful, and they take great pride in your success!

Pros: Love the Budgyt platform! Very intuitive and easy to use, with capabilities that allow users to get more detailed and complicated as needed. Allows us to enter data in detail (or summary) in a way that makes it incredibly accessible and easy to read for non-finance users, which is ultimately a huge time saver for our finance team. Everyone on the Budgyt team that I have spoken to or worked with from sales to support (including the CEO & founder who took one of my training/implementation calls) has been awesome. The training was great (the video academy might be my single favorite & most-used/recommended training feature in any program ever), onboarding and implementation were made super easy (as far as those things go), and ongoing support (on the rare occasions it's been needed; it's been mostly out-of-the-box questions/ideas that I've brought up post-go-live) is excellent & very personable - huge shout-out to "budgyt guru" Aileen who has been immensely helpful from day 0 to the present, anticipating our needs at times before we even did.

Cons: My only 'complaint' is that of several additional features that have been implemented since we began using Budgyt (dashboards, cash flow, balance sheet) I am anxiously-awaiting the #1 item on my wishlist - live integration with Sage Intacct API to eliminate manual import of actual data. But I'm confident that when it arrives it will work correctly.

Overall: We adopted Budgyt first and foremost as a new budgeting solution to replace manual, Excel-based process. It quickly became obvious that Budgyt delivers much more, and has become our tool of choice for financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. It is the only finance tool that our non-finance users regularly come to me with compliments and positive feedback about.

Pros: I use Budgyt to summarize over 20 different service programs. The program helps me with evaluating constantly changing costs in personnel and project expenditures. Upload and download is very easy to use. The customer service accommodated our agency's specific needs with the import/export feature. Training was customized to our agency's needs and recording was available.

Cons: Originally payroll setup feature was less flexible. Now this payroll taxes input is more flexible and ensures faster data setup.

Overall: The product has a great visual layout and dashboard is well designed. Data setup is very self explanatory and flexible. It has an import/export feature. Budgyt stores historical information and this helps to fine tune scenarios. Their customer service team give me personalized and quick responses.
