Pros: Blackpurl integrates with the other software we use, including QuickBooks and Shopify. The price is reasonable for what we get, and it does everything we need it to.
Cons: We don't have any issues with Blackpurl. The system works as it should.
Overall: Overall, Blackpurl has made managing our RV dealership much easier. It's extensible in that it works with the other software we use, and the features they offer do exactly what we need them to. Highly recommend Blackpurl.

Pros: Blackpurl is fairly easy to navigate, and straightforward to complete the majority of tasks with. Whether it's setting up a new customer/vendor/part, or starting a new invoice or service order, Blackpurl is simple to understand even for new users.
Cons: I think the reporting part of the program could be improved to give users a more simple and quick view of their chosen statistics/figures.
Overall: I've been very impressed with Blackpurl since we started using it a little over 3 years ago. Constant updates and improvements are always welcome as well. The support is always quick and helpful.

Pros: Looks pretty.
Fine for vehicle sales.
Fine for point of sale sales.
Does everything a basic POS system should do.Cons: It's purely designed for dealership use, and we are not a dealership, which was spoken about multiple times when we were shown the program.
- search function is super clunky and bad
- won't let me change a delivery address on VO
- won't let me change a VO if something is changed with the vendor, new part#/quantities
- won't allocate pre ordered product to an CO
- won't report past 3 months? (ridiculous)
- next to no reporting functions, sales/margin/FOB etc
- won't let you add landed pricing on imported products
- won't let you add freight into the cost on an item to calculate FOB pricing
- won't let us add dealer pricing (that's not a %)
- won't shown retail/wholesale pricing on invoices/quotes
- still haven't fixed the logo on all VO's
- still haven't fixed- VO's without pricing (sent many tickets about this)
- no function to add notes to a VO once sent eg: shipping info etc
- no function to add notes to invoice/quotes
- Nowhere to add dealer prices or notes to products
- shows products being "in stock" when an invoice is closed but waiting on another part.
I can go on... I don't have time.Overall: Super super disappointed.

We were "sold the dream" when we had our meetings , doesn't work for our type of business at all....
Honestly wish we never implemented it,
The system seem very immature and clearly in its infant stage,
the wait times from "Support" are ridiculous - still don't even have a basic reporting function and I've been waiting months, there's zero sense of urgency, our requests are not a suggestions they are needed fixes to run a business.Reply from Blackpurl -

Pros: It is a simply system to navigate and once personalised is easier as well. The support crew, Cathy mostly, is exceptional.
Cons: Has glitches but working through them with the team, the lengthy process to go from a work order to an invoice using all the tools.
Overall: A good product that will only get better by us working together. The support crew have been good and the feedback that our team provide is being listened to that will only help other users once they sign up with product.

Pros: It has many more functions than our previous system. Support is very good. Don't have anything additional.
Cons: Some things are head scratchers, like the sales tax reporting and trade-ins. In all fairness, I do not have anything to compare this to. The first system we tried was horrible. It maybe that Blackpurl is absolutely excellent. I just do not have enough experience to compare it to anything else.
Overall: So far, so good. Again, I do not have anything to compare to. But so far, our experience is pretty good.

Pros: It is very user friendly and delivers on all key requirements
The full team is very knowledgeable and go out of their way to guide and support during implementation and afterwards. Fantastic team. Simply outstanding.
The product keeps being updated with new features - including input provided by us.Cons: Not yet able to cater for multiple dealership in one installation but I know this should be solved soon.
Overall: We implemented 3 locations/installations remotely. The team at Blackpurl has been integral in this successful implantation providing outstanding guidance and support.

Pros: Ordering/receiving sections work well to keep inventory straight. Label printing, product locations, saving customers on discounts.
Cons: I do a lot of smaller orders, so the receiving, THEN invoicing can get annoying, I wish I could just receive and be done since I pay for everything with a card so it's paid for instantly. I wish there was a way to include a 2.75% card fee in the checkout so I don't need to manually add it after the charge is accepted. I wish some transitions were faster, as checkout to printing the invoice can take 10-20 seconds to pop up and load, but that could be internet issue as well. I also wish there was a lower level price point, for service and parts inventory only. I don't need anything involving units or accounting currently, so it would be cool to have a streamlined system for my personal needs. Also, there are items like gas that I sell that I do not discount, I haven't figured out a way to keep it from discounting itself if the customer is saved as receiving a discount, so I have to edit those.
Overall: Overall it is great at keeping inventory, part re-orders, mechanic's time on jobs all kept track of easily. There are a few small things I wish were different, but have found solutions to any issue I had, even if it is not the most convenient. It would be cool to have a box to check on certain part numbers, with an option to not discount.

Pros: I love how it is user friendly and able to be used by many employees of different age groups. It gives dealers an easier way to track all movement of products.
Cons: I do not like that I am unable to enter check numbers and also it is extremely picky to what it allows to be entered for a part number, product name or customer name. It restricts you even if you are close to the right details you are entering.
Packing Slip numbers only ever being able to be used once is difficult. Also, some times we receive products without a packing slip so there should be an ability to override this area.Overall: Overall experience has been great. When we have had a situation the chat representatives are extremely helpful and quick at responding. It does a great job tracking our movements here at Spencer Trailers.
