ActCAD Software

Pros: Software is mostly the same as popular CAD platforms.
Does serve all our 2D drafting purpose as required for our nature of job.
License cost is very reasonable.

Cons: Documentation of VBA examples missing need to provide better documentation.
Linking blocks with database is not available.
Need for Actcad Electrical plug-in.

Overall: Been using intellicad platform for more than a decade. The Actcad team is very responsive to any help.

Pros: Easy to use.
3D tool is strong and it gives flexibility to use both 2D and 3D experience on single platform.
Price is economy as compared to other software.

Cons: Block editing require more options.
Copy and paste of block from one window to another window is become stuck sometimes.
Required quick support on raised queries.

Overall: Overall I strongly recommend this software.
You will get perpetual license in economy price, other service provider don't do the same.

Pros: ActCAD is very similar to AutoCAD.
ActCAD has done everything I've needed to do so far that I was doing without high cost associated with AutoCAD.

Cons: None so far. Some of the tools are different from AutoCAD, but nothing I would complain about.

Overall: I would recommend ActCAD to anyone who is familiar with AutoCAD, but who don't want to pay to subscription to AutoCAD.

Pros: 1.Really a good and affordable alternative to Any standard CAD softwares.
2. Almost all the features are same as Any standard CAD softwares.
3. After sales Support is really good.

Cons: 1.Small Glitches needs to be resolved.
2. Need to fix crashing issue.

Overall: Overall my experience with ActCad is really good..... I can give 5 stars...
Customer support is just a phone call away and they will resolve what ever the problem is with the software.

Pros: Almost works as Autocad. When I was working I used Autocad. When I started my own office I need this type of utility with acceptable price.

Cons: Very few commands like:
Hatch
Inquiry
Print
Required to look in to.

Overall: This is over all best software with best price. You can use as Autocad. All most no difference. Yes it is require to change in some command as mentioned in cons.

Pros: Looks and feels like everything i am used to using. I wanted a lesser priced alternative to the big name cad program and this fit the bill.

Cons: Nothing to dislike so far, it functions as it should in a very familiar layout.

Overall: I give it a big thumbs up. 5 stars. I have to say, i wasn't sure, so i did an evaluation download and quickly realized it was the answer i needed and purchased it.

Pros: I've used ActCAD for many years. I used AutoCAD for decades. ActCAD is the functional equivalent of AutoCAD, but much less expensive, less bloated, and the support is superior. The User Interface is easily customizable. When glitches are discovered, ActCAD will typically have them solved in short order.

Cons: Occasionally, the update function does not operate. Fortunately, the ActCAD support staff will send you a link to a working download.

Overall: I am a loyal, uncompensated, advocate of ActCAD. Their management and support are the best I've encountered in any of the dozens of programs I use.
Of all the IntelliCAD resellers (I've tried several), ActCAD is superior and their price is the best or competitive. Their prompt technical support is worth the price of the CAD.
I highly recommend this ActCAD.

Pros: I am a retired Professional Engineer and I have used CAD programs including MicroStation, AutoCAD and simple drawing programs for over 30 years. I had been using an old AutoCAD 14 program that finally lost all support and I wanted to replace it. ActCAD popped up in an internet search and it seemed to be too good to believe. I tried the ActCAD BIM program for a few weeks and then I purchased the ActCAD Professional program for a number of reasons; (1) the program has all the functions and more I had with AutoCAD 14; (2) I was able to buy the program, not rent it; (3) the price of the program was unbelievably low; (4) I was able to load all of the plans I had created in AutoCAD 14 in ActCAD; (5) I found that simple functions like COPY, TRIM and others had functionality that made them easier to use; (6) using the program is so simple, I use it to draw whatever I want to build because I can use drawings to identify assembly issues and use dimensions for accurate material takeoffs; and (7) my primary use of ActCAD is for preparation of drawings of metal fabrication, building construction, concrete design, room layout and site layout. After about a year of using ActCAD there has not been a single drawing I could not create.

Cons: The HELP functions have sometimes been unable to show the path to specific functions. For example I was using ARCHITECTURAL dimensions and displayed a DECIMAL angle. The DECIMAL angle displayed with a COMA. I wanted the display with a PERIOD. I had to specify DECIMAL dimensions and change the COMA to a PERIOD then change back to ARCHITECTURAL in order to change the period. All of this was trial and error. Another HELP issue was finding the screen that changed the isometric drawing planes. The issues I have had don't change my view of the program

Overall: I am thankful that I found ActCAD. It can be both simple or complex. I have had occasion to open some of my old, more complex drawings that were created in AutoCAD 14. The drawings opened with no problems at all.

Pros: It is an inexpensive version to work the DWG files legally. the program works very well, it has all the tools that are required for the job.

Cons: I wish I had a quick command guide to learn all the tools more easily.

Overall: An EXCELLENT program, for its price, quality, ease of use, compatibility with other programs, and it is for life.

Pros: I was using Autocad before. We were tired of dealing with student licenses or crack files. But I found ACTCAD for about 2 years and bought 4 different Lifetime licenses at a very affordable price. All users in our company are satisfied. The friends in the company that provided technical support always took care of us and solved our problems in a short time. I sincerely thank the ACTcad team for putting an economically very convenient program at the service of humanity.

Cons: There were minor flaws at first. but with quick updates, corrections were made. We are currently working to meet all our needs without any problems.

Overall: I get new experiences with Actcad. I am a project manager and I do all my projects with ActCAD. I'm just having a little trouble with the plumbing drawings. But I believe that this situation will be resolved in the future. It is an application that we will constantly improve ourselves.

Pros: A rich and full set of features that make it competitive with AutoCAD LT and others in a comparable price range. Their internet-based license is a godsend and made the difference for my consulting business to purchase several licenses.

Cons: Not overly intuitive. Takes a bit of practice to know where tools are placed and how they are used within the ActCAD context.

Overall: Very good to excellent product. Great internet-based license option. Would recommend ActCAD versus AutoCAD LT every day of the week.

Pros: Easy to use (like an aged AutoCAD) , good floating license management, and with an incomparable quality / price ratio.

Cons: Management of texts, attributes, blocks and hatches to be improved.

Overall: After 20 years of professional experience I can say that it is the best 2D CAD solution for small teams.

Pros: ActCAD functions like AutoCAD but without the huge price. All of the functionality that I’m familiar with between both programs operates the same.

Cons: There really isn’t anything that I don’t like considering the price difference of other CAD programs.

Overall: Overall ActCAD is a very affordable and usable software for anyone familiar with other CAD programs.

Pros: Very good, very similar to AutoCad at a fraction of the cost. Good support that solved issues quickly.

Cons: A few minor glitches with updates, probably my fault for not updating for too long.

Overall: Excellent product, easy to use as very similar to AutoCad. I would recommend it as it is great value.

Pros: Same as old ActCad and so easy for me to use as my use is simply part of my hobby in designing metal work projects.

Cons: As I was never a cad draftsman, there is a lot of commands I struggle with and the help is rubbish.

Overall: I enjoy using Actcad and it is a really good package that I am able to afford.

Pros: You can choose among three different versions.
Very similar to AutoCad but with permanent license and at a fraction of its price.
Good quality tool. High standard. Many improvements.
Yo can change the license among different computers of you own.

Cons: No so world known.
Not many tutorials (YouTube and other platforms).

Overall: I got the BIM version and it works very well. I miss some functions in BIM but 2d and 3d is very complete and works fine.

Pros: Good substitution for Autocad 2011 LT, also with limited 3D feature, the license is life long, price is acceptable.

Cons: The ActCAD 2022 standard is freezing, or no response quite frequently.

Pros: I can open and view all kinds of DWG and DXF files, regardless of the year of the AutoCAD version, with no problems.

Cons: None at this price.
Can't say I have any complaints.

Overall: I'm using it for about two years with ease, having no problems of compatibility with all files I tried to open.

Pros: Work Interface, easy to use, very low learning curve, added features, Good enough for commercial use also.

Cons: Command to execute after selection also. As such i have found zero cons in the software.

Overall: Very nice experience. Plus less system configuration demanding. Best part is its perpetual license i.e valid for life. Customer care support is also good.
